Scene 1As a child, Soren was playful and talkative, always opening his mouth to blabber about things that only made sense to him. Oftentimes, it was about the films he sneaked from his father’s video store or the RPG Metanoia, which everyone knew he watched every single day.After class, he would meet with his pal, the ground, where he and his friends would get dirty playing. He was never an easy target when it came to playing Langit-lupa, Agawan Base, Tagu-taguan, and basically every game one could think of from his childhood. He would spend the night repeating his habits. Instead of studying for his tests—he analyzed the films playing on their DVD player, which explains why his eyes were opened at a very early age.Considering his chatty nature, it was no doubt that he put it to good use. He was raised to stand up for himself and for everyone around him, and it points out the personality and the kind of person he would grow up to be.Today I Saw The Whole World.
Scene 2Growing up, Soren helped his father manage the video store. It almost looked like he had already taken charge; he was always there anyway, more often than he was at home. Well, he liked being there. At least then, he no longer worried about being caught pulling DVDs from the shelves that are beyond his limits anymore.And as time went by, he even added a few touches to the store. Adding a huge poster of The Breakfast Club was both his and his parents’ favorite. It was his peak of realizing that he was living off from the feelings of every character he liked, as if he was there, experiencing it secondhand. Though, vicariously as it seemed to be, he still took risks in exploring what the world has to offer.His alias, Lin, was one of the fruits that ripened in his teenage years. He made it for himself, which had no bearing to his name at all. He established Lin for everyone to call him, as if he was also an actor with a character name. Eventually, everyone got used to it in an ample amount of time—they wouldn’t have any choice either way.Aliens Exist
Scene 3In recent years, Soren has become a self-proclaimed film geek, who runs a local CD store called Look Back, which was once the video store that he lived with back then. When the video store stopped its endeavor, he was left with the DVDs, which explains why people frequently ask if he was a hoarder of movies. They are scattered all over his house, with a variety of genres available whenever he feels like to pick out something.Lin, in his free time, when he has nothing better to do in the shop. And when the four corners are heightened with tranquility, he seeks casting calls here and there to flee his existence for awhile. The snap of the film slate runs against his soul, like his blood thriving to keep him on the ground. But when there is still uncertainty, he would just review films and make it a piece to indulge himself more with what he watched.He especially enjoys horror films now, a huge jump from the genres he preferred a few years ago. He also likes Megumi Acorda—a little too much. He would blast Nothing/Forgotten in the morning where everyone is expected to be still in their deep slumber.
